Save the Dates

jeff & i {more so me, he kinda just goes along with whatever i say haha} thought it would be fun to take some save the dates. we just had his sister christine use his good camera to take a couple a shots for us. we even brought props, dorky i know! but i thought they turned out pretty good :). one says our last name and the other has our wedding date. the theme for shoot was "tying the knot" so we also brought some rope along...it was kind of a mess! but in all the pictures turned out ok for someone like ourselves! hope you like our take on nautical attire as much as we do!

Engagements

my moms good friend took our engagments & they turned out so cute! i had a clear vision of what i wanted & nichole was able to help execute them for sure! she picked the location at eagle island state park, it was gorgeous! it was freezing & changing for outfits totally sucked but what can you do!? i was so stressed about what to wear but now looking back at it, that was silly! i like them so that's what matters. nichole lynn was really fun to work with & incredibly patient. if you're looking for someone in the middleton/meridian area. contact her!!

 {we made these for our save the dates & decided to use them for this session too. super easy to make!}

The Reveal

i remember growing up dreaming about my wedding. just like any other girl out there. i dreamt about the dress, the flowers, where it would be & of course wondered who was going to be my "prince charming". in a typical LDS wedding ceremony you don't get the same reveal that another bride gets when she walks down isle. so of course pinterest gave me the idea that i could kind of have the same thing. jeffery & i went to the same place where he first asked me to marry him. {yes he asked twice you can read that HERE} i figured that would be a great place to document this happy occasion haha. i had my mom there, along with my beautiful friend kelsey who helped me with my makeup & then for just confidence you could say, i had my other amazing gal pal amy there. i am glad they were there. taking pictures always feels so awkward so i am glad they could help jeff & i not look so weird!!

Bridals

we decided to take our bridals where he popped the question. which was downtown boise at the boise depot! the bosie depot is really cool because it overlooks all of downtown boise & the landscaping is beautiful! the depot used to be a train station, now it's where like everyone like to take pictures or host events. but you can't blame them. it's so beautiful up there! it was a very pretty day except that it was freezing & very windy. our wedding day was even more windy you can see our wedding HERE. we did a reveal & i am so glad that we did, it was so neat to see his face when he saw me for the first time in a dress. it was kinda surreal. you can see the reveal HERE. we also went across town to the old state penn, it was the perfect look that i wanting. our wedding theme was nautical, so the old buildings helped seem like we on the coast kinda. but here's the pics! enjoy!
