cow goes moo, pig goes oink

i am no longer a farm virgin! idk if that's a good way to say it, but today we went to jeffery's family farm!!! it was a lot different than i thought it would be, less stinky haha. i had never actually been on an actual farm. earlier this week we went to Salt Lake to pick up the in-laws from the airport. they flew all the way from north carlonia, because there is going to be a new baby in the holderness family {jeffery's sister} any day!! we are all excited :). jeff's father decided a quick trip to grace, Idaho was in order to go help out at their farm. his dad was able to go on a round up to gather all the cattle {so many cowsssss!} jeff remembers going a lot when he was younger & helping his dad with the cattle, chickens & other farm stuff. it was a really neat experience, i know it's just a farm but it was cool to see those animals up close & where the farm was, was beautiful. the scenery was amazing & everything was so calm there. i can see why people would like to live on a farm now. sometimes living in a bigger city you can tend to get lost in the hustle & bustle of what is going on. you forget to just stop. stop & think about how awesome & beautiful this world is that we get to live in. but there you can pause from your busy life & reflect or just listen to nothing. it was really cute to see our nephew ace interact with the animals. he has been practicing his animal noises, so yeah that was adorable to see hear him woof or moo. he loved it, like me! i hope that we get to go back often.

also today is one of my best friends birthday! you all know her :). happy birthday rachel!!! thank you for always being there & helping me out with everything. you really are such a sweetheart, & i hope justin treats you extra special while you're in boise!!! xoxo
