Logan Temple Trip
saturday we had the cool opportunity to go down to logan & do something super cool for my dad. i never thought i would have the chance to do something like this, & i guess not many get to either. but i will never forget it.
we have a had a busy last few days! lots of projects, planning thanksgiving for the holderness' family {more than half of jeff's family, which means a lot!}, driving to & from places, & visiting my family where we met up in logan. the reason we were in logan was to do the work for my dad's mother who passed away over a year ago. such a neat experience! it was a lot of preparation to get it all ready to go, but we did it! the whole situation is very different than that of any ordinary temple work. i was able to do the work for her & my gramp's new wife was able to be the proxy for the sealing to my gramps. i have never been able to do the work for someone that i actually knew, it was such a blessing. my family & i all know that she was there with us that day, & that she was happy for what we were able to do for her. it was a very long day but well worth the trip & long hours in the beautiful temple!! come next year, my dad will have the opportunity to be sealed to his parents in the temple. that's the best part about this whole thing! this has meant a lot to him & i am so happy that he will be together forever with his family. just like i am to mine, & now my new family with jeff. i love this gospel so much & the comfort it gives me to know that familes CAN be together forever.

Thank You for your Service
i have a lot of awesome examples in my life. friends, teachers & of course my family members. seeing that today is veterans day i thought it would be appropriate to thank those who have served, currently are serving & to those who are wanting to someday. there have been so many things that have happened this year with shootings, political outbursts, shutdowns, & debates on what is right for the people of our country. it reminds that i am so glad i have the gospel in my life to help put into perspective what is important. but i also have to remember that we would not have the freedom that we have today without those who have fought for it. i thank you all so much for making me proud to be a free American.
papa
great papa
i love these two men so much! they are my greatest supporters & have helped this country so much.
Love, Mrs. J.H
